DiskEng Advanced Media Imaging
DiskEng strict data recovery policy begins with securing the data. This ensures before any data recovery work is carried out each media is imaged and the data secured, capturing the original state of the data. The imaging process is performed on every media using specialist equipment and proprietary data recovery software tools.
Whether its a high capacity tape media or portable storage card, laptop or desktop or even a ten disk RAID server. This process creates a secure, forensically sound, bit level data copy of every media, sector by sector or block by block onto one of our secure 12TB RAID servers.
The imaging process is repeated for every media and serves as a secure copy eliminating the need to access a typically failing hard disk drive or the need to access multiple disks for large RAID arrays. We never need to access the original storage media again.
Data Processing
The raw copy of the original data, the image, is then manipulated using our advanced data recovery software tools specifically developed to allow an extremely fast and efficient method of accessing and processing the raw data which generates a virtual file system in preparation for data recovery.
From the virtual file system we extract and recreate the recovered data files onto a destination processing file system. A final integrity check is then performed on every recovered data file before the data is released and sent to clients on a suitable media such as CD/DVD/Disk or Tape.
