Packaging and Shipping

DiskEng data recovery services are provided from our central engineering facilities, headquarters located at the Oxford Science park in Oxford.

Whether its a single laptop hard disk or even a multi disk RAID server, we recommend shipping your media in protective packaging and using insured delivery.

We can take receipt of any media delivered directly to our facilities, please ensure you follow the packing details below to prevent any damage during transportation. Please contact us prior to arrival.

Shipping Recommendations

1. Package your media into an anti static bag and wrap with bubble wrap.
2. Place your wrapped media into a well foamed box at least double the size of the wrapped media.
3. Include the completed pages from your quotation with your media and seal the box securely.
4. Securely fix the shipping label provided on your quotation (sample above), to the front of the package.
5. Please indicate the service level you require on the label.
6. Send your package to us using a courier service or insured delivery.

Sending your storage media

For laptop data recovery, please send us the laptop hard disk only, to our data recovery facilities. If you are unable to remove the hard disk, please send us the entire laptop, we do not require any associated peripherals or power supply units. Our data recovery specialist engineers will be able to remove the hard disk from the laptop for the purpose of data recovery.

For desktop hard disk recovery, please send us the desktop hard disk only, to our data recovery facilities. If you are unable to remove the hard disk, please send us the entire desktop, we do not require any associated peripherals or equipments. Our data recovery specialist engineers will be able to remove the hard disk from the desktop for the purpose of data recovery.

For tape recovery, please send us the tape media only, to our data recovery facilities. If you are unable to remove the tape media, please send us the entire tape storage unit, we do not require any associated peripherals or equipments. Our data recovery specialist engineers will be able to remove the tape from the tape drive for the purpose of tape data recovery.

For RAID recovery, please send us the RAID hard drives only, to our data recovery facilities. Please ensure you lable the RAID drives ordering as they are removed from the server. If you are unable to remove the RAID hard drives, please send us the entire RAID server, we do not require any associated peripherals or equipments. Our data recovery specialist engineers will be able to remove the hard disks from the RAID server for the purpose of RAID data recovery.

Please contact us when sending any media or equipment from across europe, additional information may be required prior to delivering your media and or arrival to our engineering facilities in Oxford. Our offices are open 24 hours for emergency data recovery. Our normal office hours are between 8.30am-6pm Monday to Friday.
