Software Recovery
Software data recovery is normally required when the storage media is physically functioning but does not allow you access to your data. This could be because the operating system has become unstable or corrupt and is unable to correctly load basic system files and therefore does not boot up. Or very simply because data files may have been accidentally deleted or the media formatted and now requires deleted file recovery. Another common problem is data lost by virus attack and malicious software which can prevent access to your data.
There are many other extreme cases where critical file system data structures may have been damaged overwritten or corrupted. For example in a windows file system, damage to the FAT (file allocation table) and directory entries or MFT (master file table) records for an NTFS (new technology file system) may prevent access to your stored data files and will require our FAT file recovery or NTFS file recovery solutions.
Similarly damage to inodes and superblock data in a UNIX based file system and catalogues in a Mac (macintosh computer) and Netware data file system may also prevent access to your stored data files. All these are critical areas of any file system and any activity that damages these critical areas compromising the integrity of the original file system will require our software recovery solutions to gain access to the stored data.
Software recovery may also be required to some extent when a storage media suffers hardware damage. Once our data recovery specialist engineers have overcome any media hardware failures, following a successful hardware recovery and have created the mirror image, any damaged data blocks due to media surface damage, which could not be accessed from the storage media will need to be recreated through our software for a complete data recovery solution.
Software Capabilities
Our software recovery capability allows us to compensate for these types of problems by rebuilding missing or damaged data blocks and critical file structures. Using sophisticated proprietary software data recovery tools, our data recovery specialist engineers can even bypass many types of serious software corruption caused by missing or damaged data blocks allowing transparent recovery of your data files.
In some cases the physical damage to a storage media may yield very little actual raw recovery of data or the majority of the file system data structures may have been damaged or removed. In situations like this our data recovery specialist engineers can reverse engineer the entire file system and rebuild critical meta-data to its original state before processing and successfully recovering the stored data files.
If there is any data stored on the storage media, hard disk, Tape, portable or removable media, we have a combination of software data recovery solutions that can recover your data.
