“After dropping my laptop it wouldn’t boot. Huge thanks for returning my photos and documents.”
Dennis Greenward, LD Systems Ltd, Leicester
We received a Toshiba laptop from Leicester, at our laboratory in Oxford, which contained a 2TB Toshiba laptop hard disk drive. An examination of the drive revealed firmware damage which resulted in damage to the maintenance area.
Our hardware engineers were able to overcome the problem. This allowed our hardware specialists to secure a sector by sector image of the drive with a handful of bad sectors encountered during the imaging process.
Our data recovery specialists examined the sector-by-sector copy of the drive image of the laptop hard disk drive, they located a 2TB NTFS volume containing 1.2TB of data. Although there was some damage to the file system caused by the bad sectors encountered during the imaging process, it was confined to Windows system files. The required photos and documents were recovered intact and returned to the customer.
