With the huge boost in speed the Solid State Drive (SSD) can achieve, they are now immensely popular in laptops and as boot drives, but despite no moving parts, failure can occur. DiskEng are now seeing increasing numbers of SSD drives arrive for data recovery, and our R&D department have been busy developing solutions to overcome these problems.
SSD’s contain memory chips, across which they can use data striping, interleaving, and encryption. Despite there being many SSD drive manufacturers, most use the same complex storage architecture for the data. Our R&D department are continually developing the software used in the data recovery of the users files, each time there are any changes to the storage architecture.
