Cloud Data Recovery

DiskEng Cloud Data Recovery services can now provide the method with which data files can be recovered from a cloud server.

Storage on a cloud server may be provided either through a fibre channel SAN (Storage Area Network), NFS (Network File System) or iSCSI (Internet Small Computer System Interface) to provide shared and virtual volumes. With network switches now providing speeds of up to 10Gbit/s, the use of iSCSI has increased.

The most common issues leading to the need for data recovery include:

  • Logical volume overwrite
  • Overwritten data files
  • Deleted files
  • Deleted partition or deleted logical volume
  • Accidental volume reformat

iSCSI Devices Open in WinDE

Our software development team are now able to access an iSCSI device to which access has been authorised. In the event of a problem with a volume stored on an iSCSI device, our data recovery engineers could access the device to conduct an intial diagnosis, to determine what course of action is required.
