Wrexham is a town in north Wales, located between the Welsh mountains and lower Dee Valley, close to the English border. Wrexham (Population 2011: 61,603) is the fourth largest urban area in Wales, but the largest in the north, acting as the administrative, commercial, retail and educational centre for the area. The first evidence of human habitation in the area dates to the Mesolithic period, between 8000 to 4300 BC. The area developed a metalworking industry by the time of the early Middle Bronze Age. Evidence of a civilian Roman settlement in the area of Wrexham has been found revealing agriculture and trade. By the start of the 7th century the Celtic-speaking inhabitants were having to fight off the English-speaking invaders. From the 8th century through to the 10th the Anglo-Saxons dominated north Wales. Wrexham is believed to have been founded by the Mercian colonists during the 8th century, building on flat ground above the meadowslands of the River Gwentro.

From the early 10th century the Welsh renewed their attacks along with the Vikings, which reduced the Anglo-Saxon influence in north Wales. The Welsh conquest was completed in the 11th century, forming part of the Welsh lordship of Maelor. During the 12th century the lordshiop was disputed by the English. A Norman motte and bailey castle was built in 1161, but by the 13th century Wrexham was again under the control of the Welsh. In 1327 Wrexham was first called a market town gain wealth and by the end of the century entertainers and goldsmith were earning a living in the town. The town assimilated many English incomers to the town as it grew, until the rebellion led by Owain Glyndŵr severely weakened the economy. The area stayed mainly an agricultural area until the 17th century when many workshops opened, including weavers, smiths, nailers and cloth dyeing. The Industrial Revolution saw steam engine production start, along with opening many coal mines and a booming leather industry. The latter half of the 20th century saw the rapid decline of industry in the area.
The economy of Wrexham is now driven by retail, high tech manufacturing, bio-tech, financial and professional services. Tourism forms a significant part of the local economy. Due to a number of large companies in the town and high tech manufacturing, there is a demand for data from enterprise level RAID array solutions, such as NAS and SAN boxes along with the expected desktop, laptop and external hard disks and USB thumb devices. Whatever the issue and capacity of the storage device, DiskEng have the data recovery solution to suit your requirements. Recent comments by customers requiring data recovery in Wrexham are below.
