Re-initialised USB drive Dartford

“A big thank you for recovering my files. Plugged my USB drive into my new laptop, which asked to reinitialise the drive. Unfortunately, I clicked yes and lost a lot of important files which are required.”

Nicholas Parkes, Dartford

From Dartford a 2TB Western Digital Elements USB hard disk drive arrived at our laboratory in Oxford. The hard drive was inspected by our hardware data recovery engineers revealing there to be no electronic problems. Our data recovery specialists secured a sector-by-sector image copy of the drive to our servers. During the imaging process no unreadable bad sectors were encountered.

Our data recovery specialists examined the image of the disk revealing the partition scheme to be blank, with no partitions defined. A search of the data soon revealed a single 2TB NTFS volume to be present on the drive. This data was found to contain approximately 1.1TB of data consisting of a large number of photos, music files, assorted backup archives and many office documents. The data was extracted and returned to the customer.
